| | Pilates Reformer Sessions at Ishman BodyCare CenterWe offer Pilates Reformer sessions at Ishman BodyCare Center. This form of exercise allows you to stretch and strengthen your entire body, build core body strength, significantly improve posture and muscle balance, and boost confidence and self-esteem. Achieving a strong, balanced Pilates body allows you to use your core strength and move more easily doing daily activities, improves sports performance, balances work and recreational slumping and postural imbalances, and helps improve flexibility.

| Using the Pilates Reformer:Develops core strength, including abdominals (Rectus abdominus (the washboard), obliques (for rotation), transverse abdominus (our deepest abdominal, used for pelvic stabilization and improved posture, relief of back and hip flexors, the pelvic floor, inner thighs, quadriceps and hamstrings, and small balancing muscles in the torso and around the shoulders. Builds significant strrength in a 30-45 minute session, usually done once or twice a week, or every other week as a supplement to another workout program Improves posture & muscle balance, as you use the pulley system and do even movements with independent straps for each arm or each leg Reduces strain on neck, back and legs, improving strength without aggravating back pain, neck pain, or many other areas and forms of pain Develops "Functional" Strength, which is strength through the whole range of a muscle's movement. It's useful for doing things in daily life such as carrying or lifting, as well as improving coordination and balance useful for nearly every sport and activity.
