I've used this ibodycare Super Silver Deodorant Spray in the mornings on clean skin (two or three pumps under each arm) and then spent several hours working outside in the heat, and when I came back inside for lunch I found that I still had little to no body odor. By mid-afternoon, though, it was clearly wearing off, so I started reapplying it at noon which typically gets me through most of a busy day. What I like best about it is that there's no residue left on my clothes, which is the one drawback of my homemade baking soda and coconut oil deodorant.
I've been using non-aluminum deodorants for at least a decade now, but when I first switched over it did not go well. No natural product, store-bought or DIY, seemed to work; I was sweating more than I ever had before and my BO was pretty bad. I finally realized that my body was just releasing the toxins that had built up from years of using stronger and stronger anti-perspirants, and I needed to give it time to get healthy. Using clay masks helped a lot, but mostly I just had to be patient. After a few weeks, I found I was sweating less and smelled better, and these days I can go all day on one swipe of my DIY deodorant, even in the middle of a scorching summer.
All of this is to say, if you're someone who has been using an aluminum-based deodorant/anti-perspirant and you're now trying to move to a healthier option, this colloidal silver spray might not seem to work at first. But if you give it some time and let your body detox, you may find that it works quite well.
I don't mind having to reapply it, but that does mean that this little 2oz bottle isn't going to last long. It's a good travel-sized bottle, but at two-to-three sprays on each side, twice a day, $5 per ounce is just too much for me.
