Living in SW Texas, a good deodorant is a must. In that regard, I liked Bodycare's Super Silver Spray, Deodorant. It works very well, keeping me odor free all day long, with just one application after I shower. I also like that it is fragrance free, so it doesn't clash with my cologne. This makes it great for women too. This is a natural aluminum-free deodorant, that is safe for sensitive skin like mine. I also like that it is travel sized, at just 2 ounces, so it doesn't use a lot room in my airplane toiletries bag. My only concerns were 2. First of all, it leaked during shipping, so that means the cap was not on securely. This is a production issue. Secondly, it is very expensive for the amount of deodorant you get. In other words, it won't last very long. Taking all this into consideration, I'm giving it 3 stars.
I can't believe how effective this is as a deodorant. And I have tried to use colloidal silver solutions as deodorant before but I don't know maybe this has a higher concentration or something. It's been nearly 24 hours and no odor in sight, none even on the way. My pits still smell so clean!! I've never had a deodorant work this well before. I sprayed it liberally and let it air dry for a few minutes after a shower and it has worked amazingly.
I transitioned to non-aluminum deodorants probably about 10-12 years ago. I've tried Tom's, Arm & Hammer, Dove, Crystal Stick, Speed Stick, etc. This product most closely resembles Crystal Stick, as the ingredients are literally a single component. I sprayed it on generously to the extent it ran down my side and I had to blot it with a Kleenex to clean up the excess. I'm in the middle of a California summer with 90 degree temps. It's been about 6 hours since I applied it and I'm giving this 4 stars, pretty good in my opinion! A 5 star review would be the results of an aluminum deodorant, which works 100% on me. This isn't that good, but virtually no odor to speak of, which is commendable. Like any deodorant product, this is going to depend on so many factors like body chemistry, diet, exertion level, humidity levels, temps, etc. I will update the review if my experience moving forward generates cause, but at this time I would recommend this product, but with a couple of caveats. First, this bottle is only 2 ounces, so it's not going to last very long. Second, it's rather expensive, given that you can get a 2.5 oz stick deodorant for about 1/3 the cost. I will say, there's no lingering scent for those who are sensitive to scents, no foaming up in the underarms, really no anything to speak of other than odor protection. Overall, the closest experience I've had to this is the Crystal Stick, which rolls on, but very similar. This might check the boxes for you on what you're looking for, and if that's the case, I'd say give it a try and see what you think.
I've used this ibodycare Super Silver Deodorant Spray in the mornings on clean skin (two or three pumps under each arm) and then spent several hours working outside in the heat, and when I came back inside for lunch I found that I still had little to no body odor. By mid-afternoon, though, it was clearly wearing off, so I started reapplying it at noon which typically gets me through most of a busy day. What I like best about it is that there's no residue left on my clothes, which is the one drawback of my homemade baking soda and coconut oil deodorant.
I've been using non-aluminum deodorants for at least a decade now, but when I first switched over it did not go well. No natural product, store-bought or DIY, seemed to work; I was sweating more than I ever had before and my BO was pretty bad. I finally realized that my body was just releasing the toxins that had built up from years of using stronger and stronger anti-perspirants, and I needed to give it time to get healthy. Using clay masks helped a lot, but mostly I just had to be patient. After a few weeks, I found I was sweating less and smelled better, and these days I can go all day on one swipe of my DIY deodorant, even in the middle of a scorching summer.
All of this is to say, if you're someone who has been using an aluminum-based deodorant/anti-perspirant and you're now trying to move to a healthier option, this colloidal silver spray might not seem to work at first. But if you give it some time and let your body detox, you may find that it works quite well.
I don't mind having to reapply it, but that does mean that this little 2oz bottle isn't going to last long. It's a good travel-sized bottle, but at two-to-three sprays on each side, twice a day, $5 per ounce is just too much for me.
This deodorant spray is easy to use, fragrance-free, and doesn’t irritate my skin. It controls odor well without feeling heavy or sticky. Works but definitely reapply throughout the day depending on activity level. Using it overnight I wake up with no body odor which shows it can last long. The small size makes it perfect for travel. Make sure to shake before spraying and to let your pits fully dry before going about! I use this right after I get out of the shower and dry off. Love seeing this is made in Illinois as well, my home state! Worth the money but wish it was a little bigger.
